Sauk Prairie Optimist Club honors long-time members

On July 3, the Sauk Prairie Optimist Club presented the Blue Spoon Cafe' a framed picture honoring three long time Optimist members: Denman Kramer and Milly and Woody Zantow. The framed picture will be hung in the River Room at the Cafe' where the Optimists meet weekly. Above right, accepting it were Brian Miller, Manager, left, and Dylan Boss, right, the Blue Spoon team member responsible for service to the Optimist Club. On July 31, the Sauk Prairie Optimist Club presented the Ruth Culver Community Library a framed tribute to the late Denman Kramer, who was known in the community as The Balloon Man because everwhere he went he carried balloons that he would make into balloon creatures and toys. Kramer was a long-time resident of Prairie du Sac and a founding member of the Sauk Prairie Optimist Club. The Optimists also presented the Library with a $100 check to be used for the summer reading program.
