Achilles and the Tortoise

One day, an abnormally fast human and a very slow (or, at least normally slow) tortoise decided to race. The human, Achilles, started at the same time as the tortoise, but the reptile was given a head start.

And no matter how hard he ran, Achilles could never catch up.

According to Zeno’s paradox, it’s impossible for Achilles to ever overtake the tortoise, regardless of how fast he runs, because in order to win the race he must first travel to the spot where the tortoise is, but in the time it takes him to reach that spot, the tortoise has always moved forwa...
