New boss, same expectations

Steiner, Heights aim for big year

Wisconsin Heights first-year football coach Trevor Steiner and the Vanguards host Saint Mary Catholic in their season-opener Friday.

Change happens.

For the Wisconsin Heights football team, a major change happened in 2016 when the Vanguards transitioned to eight-player football and hired a new head coach, all in the same offseason.

Fast forward to 2019, and change in happening again for the Vanguards, although it's not as major as the double whammy they faced three seasons ago.

This time, Heights is transitioning to new head coach Trevor Steiner. Steiner replaces Jeff Supernaw, who left to pursue other ventures after a three-year stint at the helm.
