Condo neighbors ask for Riverfront Park shelter to be moved

The Sauk City Village board looks at plans for Riverfront Park and alternatives for the proposed second shelter.

A group of residents from Makasa Towers Condominiums attended the Sauk City Village Board meeting on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 to ask the board to consider moving a proposed shelter at the new Sauk City Riverfront Park. This proposed shelter is a second shelter and was not a part of the original plans.

Speaking about the proposed second shelter, Chuck Bongaard, village engineer said, "The thought behind this [new] shelter was that with the splash pad is in close proximity to the existing shelter that it would be difficult to rent it and have a private party without the rental party feeling own...
