Coffee With a Cop features Kari Orn, Silver Alert Coordinator

More than 120,000 Wisconsinites live with Alzheimer’s; the most common disease that causes dementia. That’s what it would look like if all the combined seats in Miller Park and Lambeau Field were filled.

There are ways to better help those living with dementia and keep them safe, said Kari Orn, Silver Alert Coordinator for the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Orn was on hand at the July 11 Coffee with a Cop presentation, where she discussed the state’s Silver Alert program, signs of mental confusion and safeguards people and businesses can take to help protect those vulnerable.
