Tony Caminiti and Black Earth's Home Talent League team lost to Waunakee, 12-0, on Sunday.

The streak is over.

Sauk Prairie's Home Talent League team opened the year with five straight wins. But the Twins' dropped their first game of the season last Friday, suffering a 9-7 setback to visiting Ashton.

Ashton broke a 6-6 tie with three runs in the top of ninth. Sauk Prairie scored once in the bottom of the frame, but fell short.

"I thought we competed well, although we had some miscues that cost us," Twins manager Lucas Koenig said. "This was an exciting game in front of a great crowd."

Ashton jumped to a 4-0 lead in the third inning, before Sam Koenig homered for Sauk Prairie in the fourth to narrow the gap to 4-1.

The Twins scored three times in the sixth - highlighted by a Dylan Slotty double - to close within 5-4. Sauk Prairie then took a 6-5 lead in the seventh thanks to RBIs from Alex Mayer and Sam Koenig.

Ashton tied the game in the eighth, though, and won it in the ninth.

Alex Meyer went 3-for-5 for the Twins, while Sam Koenig was 2-for-4 with two RBI.

• Waunakee 12, Black Earth 0 - The Bombers couldn't get anything done against Waunakee pitcher Dayne Oleson.
