Colin O'Keefe of Spring Green, pictured with his son, caught this 39 pound flathead catfish not long ago when night-fishing on the Wisconsin River near the Highway 14 bridge. He used a six inch live bluegill for bait. According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the largest flathead on record in Wisconsin weighed in at 74 pounds, 5.1 inches and was caught on the Mississippi River in Vernon County.
