Step back in time

Some readers seem reluctant to try science fiction and I decided to look into why that is. I was aware that not everyone is comfortable suspending belief in what they know or reading material that’s too far removed from the familiar. Another comment I’d heard is that some people feel the material will be too dry or challenging. A little online research helped me add to those reasons.

The word “science” itself has implications of school and reminds some of us of our least popular class. I learned of theories involving reading tastes of right- versus left-handed...
