Eagles head to the playoffs on a high

Sauk Prairie ends regular season strong

Macy Breunig and Sauk Prairie's girls soccer team finished the regular season 17-1-2.

It was the toughest eight-day stretch of the season for Sauk Prairie's girls' soccer team.

But after finishing the regular season-ending stretch with a loss, a win and a tie, in that order, Eagles' coach Mike Rauls couldn't have been prouder of his squad.

Sauk Prairie (17-1-2) blanked host Madison West, 1-0, on May 21 and earned a 1-1 tie with visiting Madison Memorial last Thursday. The Eagles were also ranked fifth in last week's Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Division 2 poll.
