Sauk Prairie FFA officers were glad to accept the grant from McFarlane's of Sauk City in recognition and support of the chapter. McFarlane Mfg. Co. Inc., together with AGCO Corporation, participated in the National FFA Organization AGCO Dealers Chapter Grant program through the National FFA Foundation for an opportunity to recognize and support local FFA chapters. In addition to the chapter award, the state receives a $200 grant check. This year marks the third year of the program. The grants issued through this program will be used to support ongoing student projects, purchase new classroom equipment and support new student projects. Locally, for the Sauk Prairie FFA, the grant will be put towards offsetting costs for students to attend the State FFA Convention in June. The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth, and career success training through agricultural education to 669,989 student members who belong to one of 8,630 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The organization is also supported by 459,514 alumni members in 2,236 alumni chapters throughout the U.S. Pictured are: Back Row (left to right): John Bachhuber, Dick McFarlane, and John McFarlane.
