The Hallucinatory Lament of a Tired Journalist

Odd karma in Wisconsin tonight.

It’s a 30-mile burn from Wisconsin Dells to Adams/Friendship, a town barely hanging on in the vast prairie. Industry left long ago, the docks 10 miles west of the city on the Wisconsin River are silent, and a single cardboard box plant employs most of the residents.
