On April 10, Regin Suchla, an SPHS senior and daughter of Brad and Melanie Suchla, received the Sauk Prairie Optimist Student of the Month award for March (postponed due to weather). Shane Been, Sauk Prairie High School Assistant Principal shared, "Evidence suggests that a person with optimism can cope with challenges and are happier. This is Regin. She makes the most out of her friendships, positive and negative challenges, her job and her involvement at school, whether it be participation in sports, a social event or supporting other classmates. Regin is a young lady that has set solid goals for herself and has an unassuming confidence. She plays softball, is part of a sports leadership group, has assisted with a seventh grade courage retreat, works at the Press Box, is hard-working and passionate about what she does." Regin plans on attending North Dakota State College of Science, will play softball, and will major in psychology and eventually become an athletic or academic counselor.
