Heights' softball team rolls past Boscobel, New Glarus

Wisconsin Heights' Alycia Hosking slides into home during a recent Wisconsin Heights win.

Wisconsin Heights' girls softball team enjoyed a banner week.

The Vanguards rolled past New Glarus, 14-0, last Thursday. Heights then toppled Boscobel, 15-4, last Friday.

In the Vanguards' win over the Glarner Knights, Tayler Kraemer threw a one-hitter while striking out 10 wand allowing just one walk.

"Kraemer stayed with 85% fast balls ... and the Glarner Knights had trouble catching up to the speed," Heights coach Dennis Wood said.

Kourtney Mercer went 3-for-5 to lead the Vanguards' offense. Jada Wood, Tayler Kraemer, Sydnee Duhr and Alycia Hosking all had two hits as well.
