Getting their kicks

April 25, 2019

Natalie Hering (above) and the Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld girls' soccer team rolled past River Valley, 10-0, on April 15. Kelsi Handel led the way with four goals. "I thought we possessed the ball really well," Heights coach Bartlett Holmes said. "We finished our opportunities really well. I was really happy with the scoring, keeping the width of the field, and just some good passing." The Vanguards followed that with a 2-1 win at Columbus on April 16. Hana King had both goals for Heights/Barneveld. "We held great control over the ball in our midfield and at defense," Holmes said. "Hana King really killed it, scoring both of our goals, along with Kelsi Handel being just a major threat up top."
