The last load of sand bags left Mazomanie last week. As Mazomanie encountered flooding during the rapid snow melt one month ago in mid-March, the Mazomanie Fire Department and community volunteers filled around 4000 sandbags to prevent flooding. About 2500 were placed around homes and the balance left in staging. As the water receded the unneeded sand bags were offered to the Crystal Lake community in the Town of Roxbury. Most of the sandbags from Mazomanie have been relocated to the Town of Roxbury.
