The Ruth Culver Community Library invites all area children and their parents to its 16th annual Children's Day-Book Day (Día de Niños/Día de los Libros) celebration on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The celebration, which has its origin in many Latin American countries, honors the children in our community and emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all cultures and languages. Children and their families will be entertained by Miss Kim's Amazing Animals! Miss Kim will present a live and engaging interactive animal presentation where the children can hold and touch small animals and reptiles, such as a hedgehog, chinchilla, rats, and snakes. The celebration will also include piñatas, refreshments, and a drawing for book prizes. The event will be held at the Ruth Culver Community Library, 540 Water Street in Prairie du Sac. Questions regarding the upcoming festivities may be directed to Heather Cole, Bilingual Library Aide, at (608) 643-8318.
