Local man starts volunteer effort to help Nebraska farmers

Joe Keller, a 22-year employee at Wollersheim Winery and local farmer, organized a benefit for farmers in Nebraska impacted by recent flooding. It all started with a viral Facebook post, which garnered several thousand shares and comments from people across the state.

Keller decided instead of taking a trip to sightsee before farming season began, he would help out the affected farmers. As help began pouring in, he said “Let’s give it a shot.”
