Last Wednesday, when temperatures peaked at 60 degrees, I told a friend I was going to go outside and smell a goat. I don’t usually seek out goats to smell them. However, the smell of a goat is one that I immediately tie to spring.

I am the owner of a beagle, and as such, the dog part of my life is wrapped up her endless pursuit of something to smell.
