Longtime Wisconsin Heights girls volleyball coach takes same position with Eagles

Amy Schlimgen, who led Wisconsin Heights' girls volleyball program to tremendous success over the past 24 years, took the same position at Sauk Prairie.

Family first.

At the end of the day, those two words trumped any other for Amy Schlimgen.

Schlimgen, the girls volleyball coach at Wisconsin Heights the last 24 seasons, took the same position at Sauk Prairie last week.

The primary reason is that Schlimgen's daughter, Alia, is a freshman who played varsity for the Eagles last season. More often than not, Amy Schlimgen's schedule conflicted with Alia's and Amy saw just a handful of games.
