Sauk Prairie Monkeys second at state

Sauk Prairie Monkeys second at state Sauk Prairie's 10-and-under girls' youth hockey team finished second at a tournament hosted in Onalaska last weekend. The Sauk Prairie Monkeys competed with other girls-only hockey teams from Milwaukee, West Bend, Superior, Chippewa Falls and Northfield, Minn. In their first match, the Monkeys came from behind to tie the game against Milwaukee Winter Club, 3-3, with two third period break-away goals from Sophia Gesicki. Molly Hahn scored earlier in the game on an unassisted drive to the net. Sauk Prairie then defeated Northfield, Minn., 2-1. Molly Hahn and Zoye Hellenbrand had goals, while Olivia Zuelke (11 saves) was terrific. In the championship game, the Chippewa Falls Chill defeated the Monkeys, 2-0. Zuelke had 13 saves in the loss.
