Josie Toberman is the Sauk Prairie Optimist's Middle Level Leader for January. She is an 8th grader and the daughter of Brad and Nancy Toberman. The 8th grade teachers on Team L nominated Josie. Her teachers had this to say about Josie, "We are proud to present Josie Toberman as this month's Middle Level Leader. Josie has an upbeat personality that permeates all of her actions. In the classroom, Josie has a great work ethic and attention to detail that is sprinkled with creativity. Josie's attitude and responsibility are models for her fellow students. Her project on imprisoned children is an example of her sense of justice and empathy towards others. Josie is well spoken and has a sense of humor. She represents and reflects what Sauk Prairie schools expect-she is a good citizen, a role model, and a leader. In concert with the beliefs of the Optimists, Josie is a positive influence and brings out the best in others." At the Middle School Josie has been involved with the musical and participates in Show Choir, Student Council, GSA Club and Forensics. Outside of school she is involved with Stage 3 Acting group and volunteers at the Baraboo Library. In the future, Josie would like to attend an Ivy League school and study to be a child psychologist.
