Heights girls drop a pair

Kelsi Handel and Wisconsin Heights' girls basketball team dropped a pair of games last week.

It was a rough week for Wisconsin Heights' girls basketball team.

The Vanguards dropped a 77-37 decision to Marshall, the No. 2 ranked team in Division 3 last Thursday.

Heights also fell to host Dodgeville, 78-67, last Saturday.

The Vanguards fell to 5-8 overall and are 2-3 in the Southern Capitol Conference.

Marshall jumped out to an early 14-point lead and stretched that to 50-25 by halftime. The Cardinals' press caused a number of Heights turnovers that were converted into points on the other end.
