Heights girls keep making strides

Vanguards split a pair

Kelsi Handel and Wisconsin Heights' girls basketball team are 5-6 midway through the season.

Wisconsin Heights' girls basketball team has hit the midway point of its season.

And the Vanguards are still looking for a branch of consistency to hold onto.

Heights hasn't won more than two games in a row and hasn't suffered more than a two-game losing streak. And after splitting a pair of games last week, the Vanguards find themselves hovering around the .500 mark.

Heights dropped a 62-48 decision to Belleville last Tuesday, then rebounded with a 60-52 win over New Glarus last Friday. The Vanguards are now 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the Southern Capitol Conference.
