Prairie du Sac approves bond sale

The Village of Prairie du Sac approved the sale of $1.22 million in general obligation bonds for upcoming projects at its meeting Tuesday, January 8. The 10-year bonds will fund street construction projects, and storm, sanitary, and water improvements. Grants and previously borrows funds will drop the cost by $2.2 million.

According to David Ferris, C.P.A. for Ehlers, the village will have a healthy debt load going forward. Debt service. Debt service will peak in 2026, and steadily decline to nothing in 2035. In terms of its effect on taxes, the levy will see decreases through 2035. The vil...
