Wisconsin Heights' girls basketball team split a pair of games last week.

The Vanguards rolled past Cambridge, 60-48, on Jan. 3 and fell to Black Hawk, 70-50, on Jan. 5.

In Heights' win over the Blue Jays, both Natalie Hering and Ashlee Adler had 17 points. Miranda Keith added eight points and Kelsi Handel had five points.

"We attacked the basket well throughout the game and shared the ball," said Heights coach Bill Sullivan, whose team had 17 assists.

The Vanguards trailed, 9-3, early when they went on a 17-4 to take a 20-13 lead. At halftime, the Vanguards held a 29-21 advantage.
