On Friday, December 21, 4th grade students from Tower Rock Elementary School, participated in the 12th annual Day of Caring with some National Honor Society members at Sauk Prairie High School. They performed various tasks to help out the community, including coloring tray favors for the Sauk Prairie Hospital, making cards for troops placed in Afghanistan, and singing for residents at Maplewood Assisted Living. The students also got to participate in fun activities such as making puppy chow, enjoying Pizza from Pizza Hut, watching Frosty the Snowman, and getting a tour of the High School. The students had great experiences helping others. "I thought that the Day of Caring was amazing, and I was proud to be a part of it." said Max Wilkinson, a National Honor Society member. Grant Brotherton said, "It was good to see the kids participating and getting out into the community!" Everyone had a great time volunteering. NHS co-chairs Grace Brickl and Paige Hooper, would like to express a huge thanks to all who made this day possible!
