Hockey co-op has win streak snapped

December 20, 2018

Junior right wing Riley Jelinek sparked a late flurry with a goal and three assists, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Sauk Prairie co-op hockey team’s winning streak alive.

The Reedsburg co-op took advantage of some timely Sauk Prairie turnovers to hold off the Eagles, 6-4, in a Badger North Conference boys hockey game at the Sauk Prairie Area Recreation Center Ice Arena last Saturday afternoon.

The Cheavers — who swept the Eagles last season — snapped the Sauk Prairie co-op’s four-game winning streak, which included an 8-2 rout of Milton in a non-conference game on Dec. 11.
