Sauk wrestlers open year with a bang

MOUNT HOREB – Sauk Prairie opened the new wrestling season with a bang last Friday night.

The visiting Eagles made sure new head coach Adam Brager didn’t have to wait long for his first coaching victory at Sauk Prairie, rolling to a 73-3 rout of Mount Horeb in a Badger North Conference dual.

The Eagles won 13 of the 14 matches, including sophomore Devin Fitzgerald and senior foreign exchange student Jo Smet pinning their opponents in their varsity debuts in back-to-back bouts.
