Sauk Prairie's boys start slow

Girls basketball team also looking for first win

Olivia Breunig and Sauk Prairie's girls basketball team fell to Reedsburg last week.

A struggling offense has Sauk Prairie boys' basketball coach Sean McGann looking for answers following a pair of tough homecourt losses last week.

Watertown edged Sauk Prairie, 57-56, in overtime in a non-conference game on Nov. 27. The Eagles then dropped a Badger North Conference game to visiting DeForest 53-43 last Friday.

"We're seeing that we can be a good team in spurts," McGann said after the Eagles dropped to 0-3 overall, 0-2 in the Badger North Conference. "But then we always have a two- or three-minute stretch that hurts us."
