Riley Jelinek got the Sauk Prairie co-op hockey team off to a fast start in its season-opener.
But the Eagles eventually had no answer for McFarland's high-flying offense.
McFarland scored seven unanswered goals en route to a 7-2 victory over the Sauk Prairie co-op in a non-conference season-opener for both teams at the Sauk Prairie Area Recreation Center Ice Arena on Nov. 20.
"We were ready to play," Sau Prairie fourth-year head coach David Lohrei said. "We just made too many mistakes."
