Local turnout tops 75% in election

Black Earth the highest with 80%

Mazomanie, Black Earth, Sauk City, and Prairie du Sac voter turnout topped Dane County’s 69%, and was well past the state’s 59%. 5,534 residents in the four villages cast votes. Over 350 voters registered the day of the election. Evers won the election in the area on average with 66% of the vote. This compares to his tally in Dane County of 74.7%, and 49.6% statewide.

In Mazomanie, there were 1039 voters registered before the election, with 107 registering the same day. Turnout was 76%, with Evers claiming 67% to Walker’s 33%.
