Veteran's stories to be told in Vermont

November 1, 2018

This grainy old photo of Max Rosenbaum with his cousin Irvine, taken at the close of World War II clearly shows how happy he is to be home and away from the horrors of war. In December 1944 Max was severely wounded in France but after many months in hospitals and rehab, was able to crack a great big smile. Max’s story, and others, will be told through a travelogue presentation to be held at the Gathering Place, at Vermont Lutheran Church, at 7 p.m. on Veteran’s Day, Sunday, November 11.

This special Veteran’s Day edition of the “Cabin Fever Reliever” travel program marks the first of the eleventh season of this well-attended series. The public is invited and refreshments will be served. Here’s your chance to meet Max and hear his harrowing story as a member of the 106th Cavalry in the European Theater of World War II.
