Vanguards' boys runners third at Platteville

Emma Leece (left) and Kassidy Frame (right) helped Wisconsin Heights' girls cross country team finish fourth at the Platteville Invite.

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld boys cross country team finished in third place among small schools at the Platteville Invite last Saturday.

Darlington won the team title with 44 points, while New Glarus/Monticello (52), Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld (78), Lancaster (146) and River Ridge (147) rounded out the top five.

Vanguards' junior Christian Patzka had a terrific race, finishing second overall in 16 minutes, 27.5 seconds.
