Heights soccer falls to Deforest

“It was the happiest loss we’ve ever had.”

This was the sentiment of many Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld boys’ soccer players after they fell to DeForest, 6-0, last Friday. Given the week these players had been through, it’s easy to see why.

On Monday night, storms rolled through the area causing major flooding of the Black Earth Creek. Both head coach Bartlett Holmes and assistant coach Tommy Lancaster suffered damage making their homes inhabitable.
