In the aftermath of the floods: a long recovery

Mitchell Travis and his family had floodwaters in the first floor of their home in Mazomanie. In the week since the flooding, he's been documenting the recovery process his family is going through.

Nearly a week after more than 12 inches of rain fell on the Black Earth Creek Valley, Black Earth and Mazomanie are just beginning to start the recovery process.

Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced earlier in the week that over $100 million in damage had occurred to private and government property in Dane County during the floods. This does not include commercial property.
