Resident near Badger on bottled water

Residents around the Former Badger Army Ammunition Plant met with officials on July 25th at the River Arts Center to hear updates about increased contaminants in a private well. The meeting is part of the Army's intention to meet with residents every 6 weeks.

On July 11, levels of dinitrotoluene (DNT) exceeded Wisconsin Enforcement Standards by 12 parts per trillion. The homeowner was notified and given bottled water until the Army determined a solution. The next test is scheduled for August or September.

Several other areas have shown slight increases in contaminant levels around the plant...
