Local broker and owner Nanci Caflisch opened a second RE/MAX Grand location in Sauk Prairie this summer, providing services for Lake Wisconsin, Sauk Prairie, and the surrounding communities. The grand opening was on June 21.

Caflisch, who is a respected real estate veteran with 20 years of experience including spending the last six years as a leading expert at the top of the market, has been leading the RE/MAX Grand brokerage in Baraboo, Wisconsin for the last eight years.

The office is located in the bottling works building at 708 Water Street. This is the former location of the Celo Bottling Company, which operated for over 40 years. Paul Leinenkugel established the Riverside Bottling Works in 1901. He sold the company to Albert Guetskow in 1914, who built the Water Street building in 1924. During prohibition, Celo bottled Sundrop.

George and Thelma Koehler eventually purchased Celo.

Thelma Koehler attended the grand opening, revisiting the place she called home for so many years. She and her family lived in the upstairs apartment.

Caflisch restored the building with an industrial theme, including the existing tin ceiling. Sliding doors on rails separate the offices, and tables have a rough industrial finish. Pictures and memorabilia about the Celo Bottling Works adorn the walls.

Caflisch hired two dedicated real estate agents, Tracy Thompson and Raegen Trimmer, to join her business at RE/MAX Grand in Sauk Prairie with plans to hire additional agents over the next few years. Trimmer is also director of marketing.
