Candidates file for Gubenatorial Primary

WISCONSIN–The filing period for candidates wishing to run in the August 2018 primary came to an end on June 1. The most contested race of the year in Wisconsin is the gubernatorial election in which incumbent Governor Scott Walker is seeking a third term.

Early on the race started out with 32 people exploring the possibility of a run, 19 of which were Democrats, but after the deadline for filing passed the pool was narrowed to just 16 candidates. Of the 16, 10 are Democrats, one from the Wisconsin Party, one from the Wisconsin Green Party, one Libertarian, one Independent and one Republi...
