Heights offer up a bounty of summer options

Wisconsin Heights summer school students show off their baked wares.

The Wisconsin Heights School District is preparing for another successful summer school session this year. Enrollment has increased every year since 2016. Josie Geishirt, reading specialist and summer school principal, explained the history of the program.

Last year was the first which featured remedial and enrichment classes, with 169 students. This year, again featuring remedial and enrichment classes, 195 students will attend summer school. "Next year we're planning enrichment in both sessions," explained Geishirt.
