Sauk leaves foes all wet

Eagles sweep doubleheader

Bryant Schaaf and Sauk Prairie's baseball team improved to 10-6 overall last week.

When junior pitcher Bryant Schaaf woke up last Saturday morning, he wasn't convinced that Sauk Prairie would be playing baseball after heavy rains pelted the area for several days.

But a phone call from teammate Jacob Pape proved to be good news for Schaaf and the rest of his Eagles' teammates.

Schaaf tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed just three hits to help Sauk Prairie pull out a 2-1 victory over visiting McFarland in the opener to set the stage for a split non-conference doubleheader sweep at Chuck Hall Memorial Field.

The Eagles pounded out 11 hits in the second game again...
