Heights soccer starts strong

Brianna Herling and Wisconsin Heights' girls soccer team has jumped to a fast start this season.

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld girls soccer team opened the year winning four of its first five games.

Here's a recap of the Vanguards' fast start:

• Heights/Barneveld 3, Columbus 0 - The Vanguards defeated the Cardinals for the first time ever in a regular season game on April 10.

Sophomore Kassidy Frame had two goals, while sophomore Natalie Hering added a goal. Senior goalkeeper Destinee Schmidt, along with the defensive unit, preserved the shutout.
