'Jump Rope for Heart' event a success

The students pictured above individually raised $100 or more to benefit the American Heart Association. Row one:  Gemma Miller, Abby Brereton, George Colby (Bridges ​​Jump Rope for Heart ambassador), Eva Sutherland, Paityn Hauge. On March 22 and 23, students at Bridges Elementary participated in Jump Rope for Heart.

The students raised more than $5,000 for the American Heart Association, which funds research, programs and education to fight heart disease and stroke, the nation's number one and number four killers.

The event had its own Jump Rope for Heart ambassador this year, George Colby. He underwent heart surgery as a toddler and was assisted by the American Heart Association (AHA) throughout the process.
