Isaacson sworn in

May 10, 2018

The Sauk Prairie School District Board welcomed new member Jim Isaacson at its last meeting. He won the election with 269 votes. Isaacson grew up and graduated from high school in Eau Claire. He attended UW-Madison and graduated with a degree in philosophy. He lived in Madison with his wife and two daughters until 2003, when they moved to the Sauk Prairie area. Isaacson has owned and operated a window cleaning business for 22 years. Isaacson has had friends encourage him to run for the Board in the past. The seat opened as his family was in the process of buying a home in the Town of West Point, and he decided the timing was right. Great schools are valued in this community and I wanted the opportunity to help guide our district to carry on the tradition of providing a high quality education for all students," explained Isaacson. "I want to represent the values and beliefs of residents in the Sauk Prairie school district. I want to be their voice in how we educate our children as we prepare them to lead productive lives. I believe that starts with attracting the best teachers and support staff to our schools. He continued, "I want to help continue to make our district one where top notch teachers seek employment. With tight budgets, how we best spend tax dollars so that taxpayers get the most bang for their buck will continue to be a challenge for the board."
