Teacher creates autism program

During the April 23 Wisconsin Heights School District Board meeting, Sharon Redmon, special education teacher at Black Earth Elementary School, highlighted two projects she has developed this year. The first project, called Communication Station, is a joint project with the Black Earth Children's Museum, and will be installed by May 5.

Using AAC, or Augmentative and Alternative Communication, the project will highlight the different methods that allow people with disabilities to communicate with others. Redmon's program focuses on individuals with significant impairment when it comes to com...
