Heights' baseball team splits a pair

Vanguards top Cambridge, upended by Columbus

Austin Wolfe threw a gem, and because he did, Wisconsin Heights rolled past Cambridge last Thursday.

Wolfe threw a five-hit shutout and powered the Vanguards to a 4-0 win over the Bluejays. Heights improved to 2-1 and is 1-0 in the Southern Capitol Conference.

Wolfe struck out three and didn’t walk a batter. He also threw strikes on 49 out of 74 pitches (66.2%).

Bryce Duhr went 2-for-3 for the Vanguards and had two RBI and a double. Grady Geishirt also went 2-for-3, while Peyton Flamme and Caden Eichorst had RBI.
