Bingo event a success

Dear editor,

Commander Dennis J Wood sends out a big thank you to the businesses having supported this year’s Feather – BINGO – event on Nov. 4. It is through the generosity to this event which makes it fun, and successful for Post 313.

Donations in prizes or cash were received from the following: News Publishing Co., Black Earth State Bank, People’s Community Bank, Base Camp Mary Beth Schall, Terry’s Piggly Wiggly, Miller and Sons Grocery, Kwik Trip, Premier Cooperative, Green Acres, World of Variety, Town and Country Insurance Services, pizza Hut in Mount Horeb, All American Liquors, Kalscheur Implement, Gordon’s Drive In, Blue Spoon, Cross Roads Coffee House, Steve Schmitt – The Shoe Box, Wick Building Systems, The Shack, Walt’s Garage, Badger Sporting Goods, Symdon Motors, Black Earth Chiropractic, Black Earth Veterinary Clinic, Mike Roessler Realty, DEW Signs, Wagner Insurance/Finance, Saeman Lumber, Camacho Funeral Home and Crematory, Isaacs Soups and Antiques, Sauk Plains Plumbing and Pumps. Mickelsons-Martin Post 313 gave away 11 turkeys for the event.

Wood wants to thank the crowd for coming early and staying late to enjoy this event which is held annually on the first Saturday in November. To the Legion members, Sons of the American Legion, and Legion Auxiliary members – Thank You for a job well done. Biggest crowd ever!

Proceeds will help support the Honor Wall along with dedicating funds to community purposes.
